In-town overnight parking is tight. The closest in-town chain is
Pilot #331 on I-285 Exit 51 (Bouldercrest). The main overnight
chain cluster is I-75 Exit 201 in Jackson, about 35–40 minutes
south. Forest Park on I-75 has a gated yard and a Blue Beacon
wash. I-20 west has Villa Rica. I-85 has Commerce. Do not plan to
shut down on Atlanta city streets; confirm posted signs and local
rules. Georgia rest areas: overnight unknown / temporary rest
only. O.C.G.A. § 32-6-6 makes camping on GDOT property illegal;
“normal, customary, and temporary” rest/sleep at rest areas is
allowed. There is no statewide hour cap like Texas 24 hours or
Nebraska 10 hours. Check posted signs. This page does not list a
specific rest area.
